Umrah is a sacred pilgrimage to the Holy Kaaba in Makkah and is a highly virtuous act of worship for Muslims. Unlike Hajj, Umrah can be performed at any time of the year, except during the specific days of Hajj.
Muslims from all over the world travel to the Holy Land to seek the pleasure and forgiveness of Allah. During Umrah, pilgrims enter the state of Ihram with the intention of performing the sacred pilgrimage.
Pilgrims perform Tawaf by circling the Holy Kaaba seven times as part of the rites of Umrah. They then perform Sa'i by walking seven times between the hills of Safa and Marwah.
After completing the required rites, pilgrims perform Tahallul by shaving or trimming their hair. Umrah teaches Muslims sincerity, humility, patience, devotion and complete submission to Allah.
It is a deeply spiritual journey that gives Muslims an opportunity to seek forgiveness, make Dua and renew their faith.
May Allah accept the Umrah of every pilgrim, forgive their shortcomings, grant them peace and blessings, and return them home safely. Ameen.
